It was the 1920s and Minnie's children learned the daily grind at a very early age on their sprawling acres, farmed by sharecroppers growing cotton. She had found herself a widow with 4 young children...follow along as you find out how they made do and lived well. Watch as I show you how I make fat & fluffy buttermilk biscuits even though I never have mastered the art of baking them on a wood cookstove like Granny.
