Watercolor Trials #0728 : Bee Sweet
Pleasant Words
I am fascinated with painting bees and this one is larger than life. I used a stencil to create the honeycomb, dabbing it with paint using a stencil brush. The hardest part of painting with watercolor is being patient so it can dry in between adding another layer or ink. But in reality, the hardest thing, is holding our tongues and thinking before we speak.
I started painting, when I was finally able to begin. again. after the difficult time of burying another of my children. My son, Samuel Asher, at age 23, was killed by a drunk driver (10.14.2022). It has been therapeutic and very healing for me, and so every painting I do is in memory of my children who I have loved...and lost.
